It was reissued in the Classic Goosebumps line in 2015 as a tie-in to the first movie. It also had a quest line in Goosebumps HorrorTown. It would later be adapted into an installment of the Goosebumps Graphix series, included in the Creepy Creatures collection. It is one of the nineteen original series books that was not adapted into the TV series. But when they not only find it but bring it back home in a state of hibernation, along with some snow from its cave, trouble ensues. Jordan and Nicole get to come along with him, and soon find the Snowman. Then their father, a nature photographer, gets the news of a lifetime - he's been asked to seek out and photograph the Abominable Snowman, a large hairy ape-like beast, in Alaska. Jordan and Nicole Blake are sick of the heat in their hometown of Pasadena, California. I give it 77 Goosebumps, it rained all day today.The Goosebumps book where a yeti turns up in California. This Abominable Snowman shoulda killed some people! That's what they DO! This book climbs Everest, but never gets down. Also- the "Abominable Snowman" just wanted trail mix (that's cute).
Yikes- the bumps' book got a bit bumpy! What happened here R.L.? Fun book, kinda scary, but really jumping into the domestic pool here and not coming up for air. Ohh and none of his photos of the snowman come out- and in the end their parents are still divorced. He gets away and the Dad gets home and is "just happy they're safe" (umm.BULLLSH*T! You kids just COST Dad MILLIONS of dollars and the love of his ex-wife). He thaws and chases the kids but stops once he gets their trail mix (that's all he wanted).
They of course DO touch it- and they let the Snowman out. Once back in sunny CA- their father keeps the snowman in his giant freezer (cause every Dad has one of those) and heads into town, telling the kids NOT to touch it. When they come to- they're face to face with The Abominable Snowman! But he's frozen in ice (phew)! When their father gets down their he's ecstatic- they manage to capture the frozen snowman, and bring him back to California, along with some snowballs (these are important). Then they realize they're in the middle of the tundra, and they accidentally fall into a large crevasse. That night Nicole and Jordan wake up and hear Arthur packing the dog sled and leaving! They chase after him, but it's too late, he took all the food and he's far gone.
